Introducing Our Weekend Workshops
Our weekend workshops provide a more informal learning environment with a focus on improving health, increasing relaxation, and improving our daily lives. Each workshop focuses on one or two selected areas of emphasis.

The workshops are held outside the normal dojo environment and provide a deeper and more comprehensive look at the selected areas of emphasis. The workshop format includes a question and answer section and a time for students to share their own experiences in applying Ki principles to daily life.

The Next Workshop
When: Sunday, January 13th from 2:30PM until 5:30PM
Where:Mission Viejo Dance and Performing Arts Center
What: "Ki no Jo"
There is a rhythm to all things in nature. When mind and body are one, we have a sense of openness and are able to move easily without excess effort. Our movements reflect a natural rhythm.

We call the proper feeling "taiga" and the opposite "shoga". "Taiga" is moving with a sense of harmony within yourself and with the world around you. Everything clicks. "Shoga", on the other hand, is characterized by separation, ego-based effort and "working hard".

Whether we are using a musical instrument, a paint brush, our automobile or a martial arts weapon such as a jo, the concept is the same. To master the use of any tool it must become a natural extension of ourselves and not feel like a foreign object.
Who:Active dojo members, members of our extended dojo "family", and others with permission of an instructor. No previous experience is required.
Cost:For those paying monthly dues: $10.00
All others: $10.00
